Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Weighed by the fall of leading sectors, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) retreated on Monday for the fifth successive session.
The general index dropped 0.16% or 7.26 points to close at 4,438.46 points.
Trading volume also decreased to 99.06 million shares from 104.66 million shares on Sunday, while trading value increased to AED 159.86 million versus AED 124.9 million in the previous session.
The energy sector declined 1.98% after Dana gas lost 2.4%, while the telecommunications sector and its stock Etisalat went down 0.28%.
The banking sector also shed 0.28% after the decline of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) by 0.5%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 1.25% after Aldar Properties gained 1.7% following the launch of Cityscape Global 2017 earlier in the day.
