Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index increased by 11.1 points, or 0.24%, to close at 4,577.15 points on Monday, pushed up by the energy, telecommunication, and real estate sectors.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 60.03 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 250.256 million.
The energy sector gained 1.93%, as Dana Gas jumped 2.78% and Taqa surged 2.61%.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, rose 1.25% each, while the real estate sector gained 0.53%, as Aldar Properties added 0.49%.
The bank’s sector, on the other hand, shed 0.16% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) lost 0.82%.
First Abu Dhabi Bank topped the ADX in terms of both volume and value, with 12.05 million traded shares, and a turnover of AED 145.4 million.
