ADX gains 15.91 pts in week

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw gains over the week ended 22 September, despite traders’ fears over the Federal Reserve’s decision.

The main index advanced 0.35% or 15.91 points to reach 4,515.17 points.

Turnover stood at AED 590.39 million this week, compared to AED 257.17 million last week. Trading volume reached AED 257.17 million shares, compared to 62.83 million shares.

The real estate sector went up 2.26% as Aldar Properties climbed 2.64%. The energy sector also added 1.5% due to an increase in TAQA by 8%.

The banks sector advanced 0.75% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) grew 4.14%, 0.42% and 0.11% respectively.

The telecom sector, which levelled up 0.25%, boosted the market’s gains.
