Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 0.38% or 18.80 points to close at 4,920.67 points on Thursday, boosted by the real estate and energy sectors.
A total of 56.360 million shares were exchanged through 1,214 transactions, at a total value of AED 142.668 million.
The real estate sector increased 2.38% after Aldar Properties levelled up 2.31%, while the energy sector was up 0.90% after ADNOC Distribution gained 4.5%.
The banks sector also increased 0.45%, supported by The First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), which rose 0.58% and 2%, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom sector and its only stock Etisalat plummeted by 0.8% each, while the consumer staples sector was down 2.44% after Agthia fell 3.66%.
The services sector was the top gainer, logging a 7.85% increase after Abu Dhabi National Hotels surged 14.29%.
