ADX gains 39.12 pts Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed gains on Monday, spurred by the rise of telecom and energy sectors.

The real estate sector added 0.86% or 39.12 points to reach 4,604.27 points.

The market saw trading of 78.56 million shares on Monday, compared to 80.73 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 185.54 million, compared to AED 157.108 million.

First Gulf Bank (FGB) was the value leader after generating AED 34.69 million, while Eshraq Properties was the most active stock after trading 20.65 million shares.

The telecom sector climbed 2.9% as Etisalat went up 2.9%. The energy sector also grew 1.39% due to a rise in TAQA by 6.38%.

The banks sector advanced 0.20% after the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 1.91% and 0.55%, respectively.

On the other hand, the real estate sector fell 0.35% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties sank 0.85% and 0.43%, respectively.
