Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance in Monday’s early trades, spurred by the rise of five sectors led by the energy and banks.
The general index went up 0.72% or 5.77 points to reach 4,251.57 points by 10:20am.
The energy sector was the best performer with a 1.9% increase, backed by Dana Gas gained 3.7%. Likewise, the banks sector grew 1.25% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) rose 3.23% and 1.7% respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer staples sector fell 1.3% as Agthia Group went down 1.64%.
Turnover reached AED 89.72 million after trading 81.6 million shares through 582 transactions.
