Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 8.74 points, or 0.18%, to close at 4,892.16 points on Sunday, backed by the banks and telecommunication sectors.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 25.76 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 62.12 million.
The banks sector went up 0.13%, as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) rose 0.91% and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) gained 0.28%.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, increased by 0.5% each.
The consumer staples sector levelled up 1.91%, as Agthia grew 2.73%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector inched down 0.03%, as RAK Properties lost 1.64%.
The energy sector declined 0.87% after Dana Gas went down 1.7% and Taqa shed 0.88%.
Etisalat led the ADX in terms of trading value, with a turnover of AED 14.48 million, while Aldar Prosperities topped the market in terms of trading volume, with 5.45 million traded shares.
