ADX gains AED 1.95bn on Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up 0.20% or 8.08 points to settle at 4,067.03 points by the end of Thursday's trading session, reversing its downward performance on Wednesday, 13 May.

The market cap rose by AED 1.95 billion to AED 454.26 billion, compared to AED 452.31 billion during the previous session.

Turnover amounted to AED 101.79 million after the exchange of around 28.46 million shares through 1,735 transactions.

The telecommunications segment led the gainers with 2.82%, while the energy sector headed the decliners with 1.08%.

 Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (BILDCO) topped the green zone with 8.33%, while Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) led the red zone with 4.84%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 22.28 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 9.89 million shares.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) came on top of the rising blue chips with 2.82%, while Dana Gas headed the losing blue chips with 1.41%.
