ADX gains AED 15.6bn in week

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen an upward trend during the week ended Thursday, 25 July, backed by the robust performance of blue-chip stocks.

The ADX’s general index jumped 169.64 points, or 3.25%, to 5,387.77 points at the end of the week.

Market capitalisation gained AED 15.64 million and closed the week at AED 549.636 billion, compared to AED 533.995 billion last week.

The banks sector started its weekly trading at 10,661.03 points and closed the week at 10,710.03 points, backed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Bank of Sharjah, and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).

The real estate sector has seen weekly gains on the back of the rising stocks, including Aldar Properties and RAK Properties.

The energy sector also grew as the stocks of Dana gas and ADNOC Distribution jumped.

Moreover, the telecommunication sector has seen weekly gains as well on the back of Etisalat.
