ADX gains AED 2.34bn on Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up by 1% or 40.07 points to end Thursday's trading session at 4,061.62 points, reversing its downward performance on Wednesday.

The market cap value recorded AED 451.20 billion, up by AED 2.34 billion from AED 448.86 billion during the previous session.

Turnover amounted to AED 92.50 million following the exchange of around 27.16 million shares through 1,527 transactions.

The banks sector led the gainers with 2.23%, while the energy segment topped the decliners with 2.21%.

National Takaful Co. (Watania) topped the green zone with 8.89%, while Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) hit the top of the red zone with 4.91%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), up 3.28%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 22.37 million, while Aldar Properties posted the highest trading volume of 5.31 million shares.

Dana Gas led the losing blue chips with 2.95%.
