Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session slightly up backed by selective buying in some blue-chip stocks.
The ADX’s general index added 11.98 points, or 0.24%, to 5,088.46 points.
Trading volume amounted to 36.77 million shares that were exchanged through 1,247 transactions at a turnover of AED 113.02 million.
The telecommunication sector levelled up by 0.61%, the banks sector added 0.45%, and the energy sector went up 0.23%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector was the sole decliner after slipping 1.40%.
Market capitalisation gained AED 779 million and closed the session at AED 521.290 billion.
At the level of stocks performance, Dana Gas went up by 0.74% to AED 0.95 and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) edged up 0.12% to AED 8.04.
Meanwhile, Aldar Properties fell by 1.40% to AED 2.14 and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) slid 0.59% to AED 5.08.
