Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) recorded its first rise this week after it posted negative performance in the past two weeks.
The index rose by 2.77% or 123.28 points to reach 4,569.49 points by the week ended 9 February when compared to the past week ended 2 February.
Turnover increased to AED 1.34 million from AED 1.32 million, while trading volume decreased to 627.15 million shares from 750.73 million a week ago.
The real estate sector gained 2.51% this week on the back of Aldar Properties which rose by 3.21%.
Th consumer goods segment also rose by 0.81%, and the banks sector levelled up by 0.05% endorsed by the 3.59% growth of NBAD.
Meanwhile, ADX’s energy and telecom segments retreated by 1.49% and 0.28% respectively.
