Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its upward trend for the second session on Tuesday, as the benchmark jumped to a four-month peak after adding 2.48% or 94.26 points to reach 3,889.24 points.
Trading volume reached 106.53 million shares today, compared to 85.62 million shares on Monday. Turnover stood at AED 154.75 million ($42.124 million), compared to AED 150.75 million ($41.03 million).
The UAE markets are likely to continue seeing speculations and building new positions after the losses they incurred in the past sessions and the drop of their stocks to low price levels.
The real estate sector added 4.85%, backed by Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties which grew 6.98% and 4.64%, respectively.
The banks sector increased 3.38% as First Gulf Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi levelled up 5.29% and 4.05% in a row.
The telecom sector went up 1.29% after Etisalat recovered 1.29%.
