Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bullish performance on Sunday, hitting the highest level in five months.
The general index gained the most since the end of January as it climbed 3.07% or 135.92 points to reach 4,556.43 points.
Turnover increased to AED 391.357 million ($106.547 million) on Sunday, compared to AED 312.76 million ($85.155 million) on Thursday. Likewise, trading volume rose to 301.06 million shares from 212.187 million shares.
The energy sector levelled up 4.45% as TAQA and Dana Gas added 6.67% and 3.92%, respectively.
The telecom sector advanced 3.59%, backed by Etisalat which was the value leader after generating AED 75.26 million.
The banks sector went up 3.36% after First Gulf Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank advanced 4.67% and 3.35%.
