Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened slight higher on Monday, spurred by the telecom and real estate sectors.
The general index rose 0.18% or 7.39 points to reach 4,163.10 points by 10:45am UAE time.
The performance of UAE stock markets is still fluctuating amid a state of anxiety that is controlling investors, said Mahmoud Abou Zeid, financial analyst at Nama Economic Consulting.
The real estate sector added 0.87%, backed by a rise in RAK Properties, Arkan Building Materials and Aldar Properties.
The energy sector levelled up 0.86% after TAQA increased 4.6%.
The telecom sector grew 0.64% as Etisalat inched up 0.64%.
On the other hand, the banks sector declined 0.03% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank fell 1.39%.
Turnover reached AED 28.08 million after 41.05 million shares were traded through 345 transactions.
Dana Gas was the most active company after trading 25.7 million shares with turnover reaching AED 13.13 million.
