ADX loses AED 2.5bn on Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) decreased by 1.23% or 51.26 points to end Wednesday's trading session at 4,127.44 points, unlike its downward performance on Tuesday, 14 April.

Around 33.65 million shares were traded through 1,561 transactions valued at AED 99.88 million.

The market cap value registered AED 453.71 billion, down by AED 2.54 billion from AED 456.25 billion during the previous session.

The telecommunications sector topped the decliners with 2.08%, followed by the banks segment with 1.60%.

Arkan Building Materials led the red zone with 5%, while National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels headed the green zone with 11.11%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) posted the highest turnover of AED 31.69 million, while Dana Gas, down 2.49%, was the most active stock with 7.60 million shares.
