Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined in the last week of March by 1.15% or 51.75 points to the level of 4,443.53 points, compared to 4,459.28 points in the previous week.
The market capitalisation dropped this week by AED 4.2 billion to AED 459.89 billion, versus AED 464.09 billion last week.
Trading volume increased this week 61% to 436.6 million shares from 271.57 million shares exchanged last week, turnover rose 74.3% to AED 1.19 billion from AED 683.02 million.
The real estate sector dropped 6.81% as RAK Properties, Eshraq and Aldar dropped 12.5%, 7% and 6.2% respectively.
The energy sector shrank 3.09% due to a fall of 4.55% in Dana Gas, while Taqa grew 2.22%.
The investment sector declined 12.31%, dragged by a 13% decrease in Waha Capital.
Meanwhile, the services sector rose 4% as Abu Dhabi National Hotels and Abu Dhabi Aviation ascended 6.80% and 5.07% respectively.
