Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index went down 35.54 points, or 0.76%, to close at 4,653.03 points at the end of the week.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, tumbled 2.01% each.
The real estate sector went down 1.44% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties sank 1.37% and 0.96%, respectively.
Over the week, the energy sector shed 1.38%, as Dana Gas and ADNOC Distribution dropped 5.15% and 3.04%, consecutively.
Meanwhile, TAQA skyrocketed 16.67% during the course of the week.
The investment sector declined after Waha Capital plunged 7.22%.
By contrast, the banks sector grew 0.22%, pushed up by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), which ballooned 9.35%.
The ADX’s trading volume rose to 423 million shares from 406.141 million in the previous week, while the market’s trading volume surged to AED 856.91 million versus AED 609.65 million a week earlier.
