Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance in the week ended 29 September, weighed down by a decline in the energy, banks and real estate sectors.
The main index fell 0.86% or 38.85 points to reach 4,476.32 points.
Trading volume reached 433.195 million shares on this week, compared to 323.465 million shares last week. Turnover stood at AED 746.656 million, compared to AED 592.684 million.
The energy sector fell 5.52% as Dana Gas retreated 6.90%.
The banks sector slid 1.51% as First Gulf Bank (FGB), National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) went down 2.07%, 1.40% and 1.38% respectively.
The banks sector also retreated 1.23% as Aldar Properties decreased 1.84%.
On the flipside, the telecom sector also grew 0.25% as Etisalat went up 0.25%.
