ADX loses 68 points at open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined 1.5% or 68.36 points to the level of 4,335.07 points in Wednesday’s early trading.

The banking sector shrank 2.1% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank fell 1.6%.

The real estate also slid 1.7%, led down by Aldar Properties which lost 1.9%.

On the other hand, the consumer goods sector rose 0.9% as Agthia Group leapt 1.13%.

Trading volume reached 41.8 million shares through 497 trades worth AED 55.6 million ($15.13 million).

The market closed yesterday on a negative note.
