Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a bearish trend on Wednesday as profit-taking in blue-chip stocks accelerated.
The ADX’s general index slipped by 16.90 points, or 0.33%, to 5,053.29 points.
Trading volume amounted to 43.33 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 101.23 million through 895 transactions.
Market capitalisation shed AED 1.19 million and closed the session at AED 517.33 billion.
The real estate sector fell by 0.62%, followed by the banks sector that slid 0.43%.
The energy sector inched down by 0.05%, while the telecommunication sector remained stable.
Abu Dhabi Aviation’s stock headed the losers with 6.98%, while Reem Investments’ stock led the winners with 14.92%.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 17.02 million, while the Aldar Properties was the most active stock by volume with 3.63 million traded shares.
