ADX loses AED 1.9bn on Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a bearish trend on Tuesday, losing AED 1.93 billion.

The ADX’s general index has ended the session down by 0.52% at 5,989.41 points, shedding 25.92 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 36.842 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 141.814 billion.

The banks sector slid 0.58% as the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) dipped 0.67% and 0.85%, respectively.

The real estate sector went down 0.49% when Aldar Properties shed 0.53%, and the telecommunication sector tumbled 0.36% as Etisalat fell by the same percentage.

Market capitalisation closed the session at AED 510.388 billion, versus AED 512.320 billion last Monday.
