Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a negative note.
The ADX’s general index slid 31.69 points, or 0.59%, to 5,331.14 points.
Trading volume amounted to 72.402 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 153.266 million through 1,472 transactions.
The bourse’s market capitalisation lost AED 3.54 million and closed the session at AED 543.564 billion.
The energy sector was the sole riser with 1.51%, while the banks, the telecommunication, and the real estate sectors tumbled 0.43%, 0.36%, and 0.03%, respectively.
The telecommunication sector fell 1.35% as Etisalat went down by the same percentage, and the real estate sector dropped 1.18% when Aldar properties shed 1.29%.
Likewise, the energy sector slid 0.39% when Taqa fell by 1.35%, and the banks sector dipped 0.35% as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) shed 0.50% and 0.22%, respectively.
