ADX maintains gains Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its uptrend for the second session in row on Wednesday, backed by the growth of real estate, energy and banks sectors. 

The general index gained 0.93% or 39.69 points to reach 4,309.03 points.

Trading volume reached 87.65 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 44.48 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover stood at AED 121.22 million, compared to AED 110.29 million.

The real estate sector topped gainers with a 1.68% rise, backed by Aldar Properties and RAK Properties which advanced 1.89% and 1.69% respectively.

RAK Properties generated AED 23.64 million from the exchange of 39.52 million shares.

The energy sector rose 1.14% as TAQA advanced 5.26%.

The banks sector went up 1.06% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) grew 1.82% and 1.07% respectively.

The telecom sector also gained 0.78% after Etisalat levelled up 0.78%.
