Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed higher for the third session in row amid low liquidity on Tuesday, backed by the real estate and banks sectors.
The general index levelled up 0.8% or 32.8 points to reach 4,140.22 points.
The real estate sector topped gainers with a 1.6% growth after Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties rose 1.69% and 1.67%, respectively.
The banks sector advanced 1.47% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank added 4.52% and 1.72% in a row.
On the flipside, the energy sector declined 1.68% due to a 2.04% drop in Dana Gas.
The telecom sector fell 0.31% as Etisalat went down 0.31%.
Aldar was the most active company with AED 36.85 million that has been generated through trading of 15.4 million shares.
Trading volume declined to 116.54 million shares on Tuesday from 236.55 million shares on Monday. Turnover fell to AED 167.38 million from AED 226.9 million.
