ADX maintains losing streak for 8th day Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance for the eighth successive session on Monday, dragged down by the fall of banks stocks.

The general index fell 0.08% or 3.46 points to reach 4,492.92 points.

The banks sector decreased 0.25% as First Abu Dhabi Bank retreated 0.45%.

The investment sector led losers with a 0.52% decline as Waha Capital went down 0.6%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 0.43% as Aldar Properties went up 0.45%.

The consumer staples sector added 4.52% as Agthia Group gained 6.6%.

Trading volume reached 45.72 million shares on Monday, compared to 177.86 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 91.05 million, compared to AED 190.27 million.

First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 16.45 million from the exchange of 10.27 million shares.
