ADX maintains uptrend amid higher liquidity, trades

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its gains for the second session in a row on Sunday, amid higher trading volume and values.

The general index rose 0.66% or 28.93 points to reach 4,380.63 points.

The market saw trading of 468.75 million shares on Sunday, compared to 73.79 million shares last Thursday.

Turnover climbed to AED 394.87 million, up from AED 138.42 million.

The energy sector advanced 9.62% as Dana Gas increased 11.11%.

The real estate sector levelled up 1.43% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties grew 8.86% and 0.36%, respectively.

 Eshraq became the value leader after generating AED 150.87 million.

The banks sector grew 0.38%, helped by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) which popped higher 2.33% and 0.86% in a row.

The telecom sector levelled up 0.28% as Etisalat advanced 0.28%.

Analysts earlier told Mubasher the UAE stock markets are expected to maintain their bullish performance, amid higher oil prices.
