ADX makes highest rise in 3 months

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended this week with its biggest rise in nearly two months and a half, on the back of the energy, banks, and telecom sectors.

The main index added 0.8% or 35.73 points and reached the level of 4,516.38 points.

Total turnover reached AED 761.95 million compared to 678.85 million last week, while traded volume decreased to 371.34 million shares from 398.04 million a week ago.

The energy sector gained 3.64% as TAQA and Dana Gas grew 3.92% and 3.57% respectively.

Similarly banks added 1.34% as FGB, NBAD, ADCB went up by 2.11%, 1.09% and 0.78% respectively.

The telecom sector increased 0.76%, as Etisalat added the same percentage.

On the other hand, real estate declined 1.94% as Aldar and RAK dropped 2.52% and 1.64% respectively.
