Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The market capitalisation of companies listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) increased by 2.1% during 2017, to a total of AED 485 billion up from AED 475 billion by the end of 2016.
The market capital of listed domestic firms grew by 2.62% to AED 457 billion last year, from AED 444 billion in 2016, according to a report issued by ADX on Saturday.
ADX ended the year at the level of 4,398 points, losing 3.25% compared to its level in 2016.
The value of market transactions last year amounted to AED 48 billion over 28 billion shares, with an average of 112 million equities per day, the report noted.
