Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has closed Tuesday’s trading session in red territory for the fourth consecutive session.
The ADX’s general index shed 21.65 points, or 0.42%, finishing the mid-week session at 5,124.48 points.
The ADX was mainly dragged down by the banks sector which fell 0.66% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank tumbled 3.7%.
The telecommunication sector slid 0.24%, pressured by Emirates Telecommunications Group’s (Etisalat) stock that fell by the same percentage.
On the other hand, the real estate sector rose by 1% as Aldar Properties jumped 1.14%.
Meanwhile, the energy segment edged up 0.59% as Dana Gas added 1.77% in line with the company’s announcement of a potential listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
Trading volume amounted to 316.23 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 780.61 million through 1,487 transactions.
