ADX opens 0.55% lower Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) suffered losses in Sunday’s early trades.

The general index lost 0.55% or 23.6 points to reach 4,285.13 points by 10:30am UAE time.

The telecom sector was the worst performer with a 3.2% decline as Etisalat went down 3.2%.

On the other hand, the energy sector topped gainers with a 5.2% rise, followed by the real estate sector at 1.17%.

The banks sector went up 0.31%, backed by the rise of four stocks led by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB).

Turnover reached AED 60 million after trading 34.2 million shares through 396 transactions.

Dana Gas, which went up 5.45%, was the most active stock after generating 16 million shares. In addition, First Gulf Bank (FGB) was the value leader after generating AED 22 million.
