Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) main index lost 0.58% to the level of 4,258.68 points in Wednesday’s early trading.
Trading volume came to 11.2 shares worth 25.6 million as 125 deals were completed.
The banks sector led the decliners with a fall of about 0.82% as First Gulf Bank dropped 1.6%. The real estate sector came in as the second big disappointment after moving 0.53% lower, driven by a 0.4% decrease in Aldar Properties. The telecom sector also slipped 0.31% after Etisalat fell by the same percentage.
Dana Gas was the most active in terms of volume with about 6.4 million traded shares, whereas Etisalat recorded the largest trading value with around AED 14 million.
The benchmark index rose yesterday by 1.6%.
