Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance in Sunday’s opening session.
The general index sank 0.23% or 10.5 points to reach 4,586.36 points by 11:03am UAE time.
The industrial sector was the worst performer after falling 0.66%, weighed down by Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) which retreated 8%.
The banks sector slid 0.49% after National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and First Gulf Bank (FGB) decreased 2.3%, 1.26%, and 0.36%, respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate sector and telecom sectors rose 0.41% and 0.28%, respectively.
The market saw the trading of 34.3 million shares through 377 transactions, with a turnover of AED 49.5 million.
Eshraq Properties was the most active stock with a trading volume of 28.62 million shares, generating AED 34.23 million.
