ADX opens higher on energy, real estate

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw an upward trend on Sunday, spurred by the blue-chip stocks.

The main gauge rose 0.08% or 3.4 points to reach 4,245.16 points by 11:50am UAE time.

The UAE markets are expected to hold at their current levels as investors in portfolios and funds would like to improve the annual closures.

The energy sector advanced 1.3% after TAQA levelled up 6.8% to AED 0.47.

The consume staples sector increased 0.45% as Ras Al Khaimah Poultry and Feeding Co. gained 0.45% and 14.3% in a row.

The real estate sector grew 0.45% after Eshraq Properties and RAK Properties went up 3.6% and 2%, respectively.

The industrial and insurance sectors recovered 0.10% and 0.03% in a row

On the other hand, the telecom sector fell 0.15% after Etisalat declined 0.15%.

Turnover reached AED 29.59 million after 28.13 million shares were traded through 336 transactions.
