ADX opens lower on blue chips

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance in Monday’s early trades, in line with the fall of blue chips especially Dana Gas, First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Aldar Properties.

The general index slid 0.5% or 23.16 points to reach 4,574.29 points by 10:45am UAE time.

The energy sector led losers after declining 1.37% as Dana Gas went down 1.7%.

The banks sector retreated 0.7% due to a decrease in FGB by 0.4%. Similarly, the real estate sector slipped 1.3% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar tumbled 1.3% and 0.4% respectively.

Turnover amounted to AED 67.13 million after trading 74.71 million shares through 670 transactions.
