Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Wednesday slightly lower, hit by the telecom and real estate sectors.
At 11:00am UAE time, the benchmark edged down 0.09% or 3.76 points to reach 4214.71 pts.
The local markets are still moving in a downward trend amid speculations and the wait-and-see policy adopted by major investors, analysts told Mubasher.
A total of 13.7 million shares changed hands through 366 transactions at a turnover of AED 32.26 million.
The telecom sector was the big drag with a loss of 1.27%, hurt by Etisalat.
The real estate sector followed with a fall of 0.04% as Eshraq dropped 1.96%.
Meanwhile, the energy and banking sectors rose 1.02% and 0.39%, respectively.
Etisalat was the most active with a traded value of AED 23 million.
