ADX opens stronger on blue chips

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its gains in Wednesday’s early trades, after a rise in most stocks.

The main gauge went up 0.9% or 40.6 points to 4,448.77 points by 10:40am UAE time.

The UAE stock markets are expected to technically maintain their bullish performance on Wednesday, amid strengthening oil and global markets, analysts earlier told Mubasher.

The energy sector added 2.8% after Dana Gas rose 3.6%.

The banks sector levelled up 1.8% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) added 2.07%.

The real estate sector gained 0.9% due to an increase in Aldar Properties by 1.09%.

The telecom sector advanced 0.5% after Etisalat rose 0.5%.

Turnover reached AED 68.86 million after trading 53.18 million shares through 491 transactions.
