ADX opens week in green

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) slightly rose in Sunday’s early trades, backed by a rise in the energy and telecom sectors.

The general index rose 0.12% or 4.8 points to reach 4,138.65 points by 10:30am UAE time.

The UAE markets are expected to see fluctuations on Sunday amid anticipations for the annual financials, in addition to the geopolitical developments and declining oil prices.

The energy sector increased 1.6% as Dana Gas advanced 2.04% to AED 0.5.

The telecom sector levelled up 0.9% due to a rise in Etisalat by 0.9%.

The industrial sector declined 0.9% after RAK Ceramics fell 2.9%.

The market saw trading of 13.19 million shares through 173 transactions, with turnover of AED 12.8 million.
