Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the downward trend it maintained for four sessions on Thursday, amid a rise in trading activity.
The main index went up 0.62% or 27.63 points to reach 4,476.32 points.
The market saw trading of 206.252 million shares, with a turnover of AED 371.699 million.
First Gulf Bank (FGB), which went up 0.85%, was the value leader after generating AED 147.38 million from the exchange of 12.49 million shares.
The telecom sector climbed 0.76% as Etisalat increased 0.76%.
The real estate sector levelled up 0.68% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties gained 2.47% and 0.38% respectively.
The banks sector gained 0.49% due to a rise in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 1.57%.
The energy sector also slid 2.1% as Dana Gas led losers after falling 3.57%, shrugging off the rise of TAQA by 3.85%.
