Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the negative performance it witnessed for four successive sessions on Wednesday, amid a slight rise in trading volume.
The general index added 1.06% or 46.50 points to reach 4,428.61 points.
Trading volume reached 87.25 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 67.69 million shares on Tuesday.
Turnover stood at AED 162.3 million, compared to AED 125.31 million.
The real estate sector was the best performer after adding 1.8%, powered by Aldar Properties which advanced 2.35%.
The banks sector grew 1.32% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) levelled up 4.01% and 1.22% in a row.
The telecom sector increased 1.06% after Etisalat advanced 1.06%.
Boosted by a 2% rise in Waha Capital, the investment sector also went up 1.88%.
On the flipside, the energy sector declined 1.53% as TAQA fell 6.67%.
