Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the downtrend it maintained for three successive sessions on Sunday, backed by the rise of real estate, banks and telecom sectors.
The main index grew 0.99% or 43.8 points to reach 4,490.01 points.
Trading volume reached 148.631 million on Sunday, compared to 176.737 million shares last Thursday. Turnover amounted to AED 323.645 million, compared to AED 342.529 million.
The consumer staples sector topped gainers with a 2.53% rise after Asmak went up 2.99%.
The real estate sector added 1.78% as Aldar Properties, RAK Properties and Eshraq Properties grew 2.01%, 1.28% and 0.9% respectively.
The banks sector went up 1.15% as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), First Gulf Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) increased 2.05%, 1.19% and 0.53% respectively.
The telecom sector rose 1.14% due to an increase in Etisalat by 1.14%.
On the other hand, the energy sector fell 1.09% as Dana Gas sank 1.85%.
