ADX rebounds from 2-day drop

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Tuesday reversed the bearish performance it maintained for two sessions, backed by a rise in the energy, telecom and banks sectors.

The general index rose 0.78% or 33.85 points to reach 4,388.68 points.

Turnover reached AED 226.34 million ($61.62 million) on Tuesday, compared to AED 326.63 million ($88.93 million) on Monday.

Trading volume stood at 123.09 million shares, compared to 250.170 million shares.

The energy sector added 3.19% as Dana Gas rose 3.92%.

The telecom sector advanced 1.40% after Etisalat increased1.40%.

The banks sector levelled up 0.47% propelled by National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) which advanced 0.54% and 0.43% in a row.

On the flipside, the real estate sector declined 0.7% as Aldar Properties and RAK Properties fell 0.72% and 1.56%, respectively.
