Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the negative performance it maintained for four sessions on Thursday, amid the rise of banks and real estate stocks.
The main index went up 0.22% or 9.64 points to reach 4,480.65 points.
Turnover reached AED 114.2 million on Thursday, compared to AED 212.27 million on Wednesday. Trading volume stood at 58.8 million shares, compared to 87.97 million shares,
The banks sector topped gainers with a 0.62% rise as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Abu Dhabi National Bank (NBAD) advanced 1.28% and 0.88% respectively.
The real estate sector increased 0.47% after Aldar Properties went up 0.72%.
On the other hand, the energy sector fell 2.16% as TAQA and Dana Gas slid 3.77% and 1.7% respectively.
The telecom sector retreated 0.25% due to a 0.25% decline in Etisalat which was the value leader with a turnover of AED 30.51 million.
