Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) managed to close at a rise amid the growth of trading activity in the real estate, banks and telecom sectors on Monday.
The general index gained 0.64% or 25.52 points to reach 4,026.23 points.
Trading volume reached 103 million shares on Monday, compared to 53.6 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 163.76 million, compared to AED 122.23 million.
The real estate sector led risers after adding 1.83% as Aldar Properties and RAK Properties grew 1.82% and 4.35%, respectively.
The banks sector advanced 0.87% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and First Gulf Bank added 1.94% and 1.79% in a row.
The telecom sector rose 0.32%, backed by Etisalat which increased 0.32%.
On the flipside, the consumer staples sector lost 2.72% as Agthia Group and TAQA fell 3.16% and 1.83%, respectively.
Aldar was the value leader with turnover reaching AED 35.52 million after trading 16 million shares.
