ADX records 3-session low Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost 43.65 points, or 0.9%, to close at 4,800.9 points on Monday, marking its third successive decline.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 107.8 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 224.18 million.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, shed 1.78% each.

The banks sector went down 0.8%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) sank 1.08% and 0.43% respectively.

The real estate sector also fell 0.78% after Aldar Properties levelled down 1.55%, while the consumer staples sector tumbled 1.99%, as Agthia declined 1.2%.

On the other hand, the energy sector grew 1.21% after Taqa soared 3.51% and Dana Gas added 1.77%.
