ADX resumes losses Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Tuesday, dragged down by the fall of energy and telecom sectors.

The main index sank 0.28% or 12.75 points to reach 4,591.52 points.

Trading volume reached 82.39 million shares on Monday, compared to 78.56 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 232.87 million, compared to AED 185.53 million.

The energy sector fell 3.09% as TAQA and Dana Gas sank 2.22%.

The telecom sector levelled down 0.83% after Etisalat decreased 0.83%.

The real estate sector decreased 0.2% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties went up 2.56% and 0.43% respectively.

The banks sector slid 0.06% due to a decline in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) by 0.54% and 0.25% respectively.

First Gulf Bank (FGB) was the value leader after generating AED 64.06 million, while Eshraq was the most active stock with a trading volume of 16.7 million shares.
