Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday trading rising, after declining in three consecutive sessions.

The Abu Dhabi General Index (ADI) rose 0.07% or 3.16 points to 4,413.79 points.

ADX saw fluctuations on Tuesday, after a decline in leading stocks, such as; Etisalat and Dana Gas, in the last three sessions, market analyst Mohamed Diab said.

It might affect the market on the long term, especially with Kurdistan independence poll and the Sukuk lawsuit, Diab added.

The real estate sector rose 0.8%, on the back of Aldar’s stock, with 1.33%, influenced by the company’s announcement of expanding to the Saudi market.

The energy sector also increased 0.82%, as Dana Gas rose 1.41% by the end of the session.

On the other hand, the banks sector dropped 0.01%, pressured by Union National Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank with 0.24% and 0.14% drop, respectively.

Trading volume reached 81.8 million shares, exchanged through 887 transactions, generating AED 564.3 million.

Etisalat achieved the highest trading activity with 26.9 million shares traded, generating AED 472.9 million.

The index fluctuations are likely to continue, Diab predicted, noting that it is too early to forecast the ending of negative direction.
