ADX rises 0.66% in early trading

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) main index surged by 0.66% or 27 points to 4.123.6 points in Sunday’s early session, driven by the collective rise in the leading sectors in the market.

Morning trading volume reached 7.7 million shares exchanged in 183 trades, making a trading value of AED 20.9 million.

Real estate sector led the stock risers with a 2% increase, thanked to the rise made by Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties shares by 2% and 1.90% respectively.

Also, Energy sector moved 1.51% higher as Dana Gas share increased by 2.56%. TAQA share, however, slipped by 2.70%.

Telecom sector moved 1.32% up by virtue of the rise in Etisalat share by the same percentage. Banking sector also leapt by 0.37% due to the rise in First Gulf Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank shares by 0.42% and 1.47 respectively, while Emirates NBD shrank by 0.12%.
