Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained an upward trend in Thursday’s mid-session, spurred by the energy, banks and real estate sectors.
The general index rose 1% or 43 points to reach 4,240 points by 12:00 pm.
The market saw trading of 51.68 million shares through 997 transactions, with turnover of AED 133.12 million.
The energy sector led gainers after rising 2.54%, backed by TAQA and Dana Gas which grew 2.70% and 2.5%, respectively.
The banks sector levelled up 1.48% after First Gulf Bank, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank increased by 2.49%, 0.99% and 0.98% in a row.
The real estate sector advanced 1.51% as RAK Properties, Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties increased 4.17%, 1.96% and 1.28%, respectively.
The energy sector gained 0.31% after Etisalat went up 0.31%.
Al Khazna Insurance Company was the best performer after adding 10%.
