ADX rises 24 pts on blue chips Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 23.76 points, or 0.53%, to close at 4,470.57 points on Tuesday on the back of blue chips.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 50.58 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 135.13 million

The consumer staples sector surged 3.36% after Agthia soared 5.43%, while the real estate sector gained 0.93%, as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties rose 1.39% and 0.96%, respectively.

The energy sector grew 0.77%, as Taqa jumped 2.59% and Adnoc Distribution increased by 1.23%.

In a similar vein, the banks sector went up 0.58% after Bank of Sharjah, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB), and Union National Bank (UNB) gained 0.93%, 0.87%, 0.81%, and 0.57%, respectively

Likewise, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, levelled up 0.31% each.
